Bray Whaler’s Dallas-based FF&E team donated time to Minnie’s Food Pantry this week, a 501c3 charity that provides nutritious meals to families in the north Dallas area.

The team greeted people in need, served snacks and handed out huge boxes of food.  They also checked in pallets of donated goods, and created boxes of food. “It was an honor to participate with this outstanding organization. We have so much to be thankful for and try to give back to our community on a quarterly basis, ” explained Jennifer Fisk, principal  and executive director of projects. The Bray Whaler team served 4,892 pounds of food to 103 families and 287 individuals, and prepared 103 bags of food for distribution.

Minnie’s Food Pantry, was founded in 2008 by Dr. Cheryl Jackson with food from her pantry after she emerged from her own family’s hard times,. Dr. Jackson explains, “when I meet families who are hungry, I see an opportunity to not just feed their bodies, but to show them that someone cares and they will make it through the hard times, just as I did.”  To date, the group has fed over 250,000 people and served over 3 million meals.  http://www.minniesfoodpantry.org.
